One of the few movies I've seen that actually does the book justice. It's a breathtakingly beautiful film, with a heartbreaking story. it's well worthy of all the praise.

Brillian insightful story with a marvellous poetic Eddie Vedder soundtrack. Top movie of 2008.

The imagery alone makes this movie worth seeing. You get to see some terrific landscapes & nature that you wouldn't otherwise. Not only that, but the terrific philosophical viewpoint & acting (by Emile Hirsch) make the story behind the scenery extremely intriguing.

An amazing story of how a young college graduate seeks the truth out in the wild.

I read this way before learning that there was an actual movie coming out. I highly recommend this book about Chris McCandless and how he breaks away from his upper class life to pursue his dreams backpacking across America. I couldn't put this book down.
