The gliding disc is a great tool to use for your workouts. It helps one to progress several exercises including legs and core work. There are two options: one for hardwoods and one for carpeted areas. If you havn't tried one, grab your trainer and ask them to show you how it works. It is fantastic!

If you remember the old Reebok Power Slide, then you've got the general idea of the Gliding Discs. However, there are two major differences. First, there is no mat with those little barriers that you fall over. You never tripped over those things? Ummm...well, me either. I was just...nevermind. Secondly, you aren't locked into a lateral movement pattern only. The Gliding Discs allow you to move freely in multiple directions and work your muscles in multiple planes. Basically, you use more muscles, which means more calories burned. Hooray!
