I use the carafe everyday to brew iced herbal tea. I received the set (at my own recommendation) as a birthday gift from a close friend. Durable and beautiful, the glass features a pale aqua tint and gently pebbled surfaces. It is made from 30% recycled glass and came packaged in recycled materials. (Which I promptly recycled).
