Although I did first see these on Cool Material.com, I still thought they needed more presence.

Made from locally-quarried soapstone in Perkinsville, VT. After storing in freezer for a minimum of 4 hours, add 3 stones to a dram of single malt to take the edge off a bit without diluting.

Rinse after use and store in the freezer for next time. NOTE: Whisky Stones are for whisky and spirits ONLY and are not intended for soda, ice tea or other cold beverages.

Whiskies do not mature in the bottle, only in the cask, so the "age" of a whisky is the time between distillation and bottling. This reflects how much the cask has interacted with the whisky, changing its chemical makeup and taste. Whiskies which have been in bottle for many years may have a rarity value, but are not "older" and will not necessarily be "better" than a more recently made whisky matured in wood for a similar time. Most whiskies are sold at or near an alcoholic strength of 40% abv.

while these are not technically ice cubes, they are a wonderful substitution. i would probably end up using these for everything, as i hate when my drink becomes watered down by melted ice. here, i could have the best of both worlds (and really, who doesn't want that?)

These are great guy gifts. They chill the liquid, but not too cold so that you lose the floavor. A bunch of stores have sold out. Abodeon.com still lists them as in stock. They are super!
