Aswan's recommendation

The Japanese come up with some of the most creative tech products. A lot of them rank high in coolness but have very little utility other than to give us a good laugh. This is one of those products. Oh, how I would have loved to have had one of these in the room during one of the many times that I was getting chewed out by a fuming (X) girlfriend.

Cute little guy! He's a small white plastic rectangle with red LED's for a face. You connect him to your computer and he turns on, but is sleeping - you have to blow on his face to wake him up!

Once up and ready, Mr. Tengu will lip-synch to any music or sounds you play. A cute feature is the variety of 'faces' you can choose from, selected by blowing once again on his face.

Cute, not too expensive little gadget. It actually works pretty well. My only complaint is it needs a USB connection, but you can buy a wall adpater and let him sit next to your stero.

It is widely available at other store besides Charles and Marie.

Tengu plugs into your USB port and lip-synchs to your music. To "wake" him, you blow on his face.

This is arguably the most awesome thing ever created for people who like gadgets, robots, and music.

Bonus use: Record yourself insulting someone, loop it, and leave this plugged into their computer while the loop runs.

Feeling alone at work? bored perhaps? Let this little guy keep you entertained (and remind you of the Tomogouchi incident). He will lip sync along with music so you can perform a lovely duet at your desk and no one else has to know...
