Lauren Wood who brought you “Fallen” from the film “Pretty Woman” and the hit duet with Michael McDonald “Please Don’t Leave”, comes Lauren Wood’s newest release – “Love, Death & Customer Service”. The list of collaborators on this record are pretty impressive with names like Melissa Manchester, Allee Willis (The Color Purple), Stephen Bishop and Little Feat’s Billy Payne

The Lead track “Contradictions” is a confiding track spotlighting her signature voice and her Smooth Jazz altos. I have to agree with Paul Zollo of American Songwriter magazine who writes “She’s a phenomenal vocalist, gifted songwriter and consummate producer. This new album is an apt response to those who complain that nobody writes songs like they used to.”

During her extraordinary career she has recorded with Frank Zappa and Michael McDonald and has written songs for everyone from Cher to Sammy Hagar to Gladys Knight, to adding her voice to the network theme for the TV Series “Just Shoot Me”- all of which points to her diversity as a musician and songwriter. The CD is so diverse, it goes from Pop to Jazz, to Adult Contemporary, to Funk and one song “Walk Towards the Light” (referring to the Love & Death in the title of the CD) even features a gospel choir!

“Sit back, put up your feet, close your eyes and enjoy.”
- Joe Montague, Jazz Review
“One of the most impressive pop arrivals in some time.”
- Robert Hilburn, Los Angeles Times

If you are a fan of Sarah McLaughlin, Norah Jones, Michael McDonald, Annie Lennox, Bill Champlin, Adele, Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillat or Duffy you are going to love this CD.

She’s giving away a free download with the single “Fallen” when you buy the CD which is pretty cool. Check out all the tracks and get the free download with purchase! by following the Buy Link. (via Lauren Wood Website)
