When I was 6 or so I dreamed of sleeping in a hammock suspended between trees and surrounded by fragrant flowers.. in my room. I don't know why- now that I'm older- I haven't made some of those over the top desires into a reality. That idea still sounds pretty cool (well maybe not the hammock part) and now I've got the know-how and no one to shake their finger and tell me no (to be fair my parents weren't finger shakers and may not have said no if I had asked). The RISD students featured here are doing it up large- this book will be a perfect inspiration. Oh- and Amy Sedaris writes the intro :D.

ive always loved decorating my dorm rooms and apts back in my college days... hot pink boas on the walls, giant ducktape murals, inflatable sheep (yeah... my ex got me odd presents... always fun to explain)... anyway, ive never been able to pull off this look again since i got out of college and this allows me to live vicariously (sp) through everyone who can still do it!
