Originally a "download of the week" artist on iTunes, I eventually became so entranced by this first song that I bought the whole album. The digital booklet which comes with the album contains photographs of the artist, hauntingly beautiful graphics and the lyrics to each song. (via ITunes)

Alison Sudol (a.k.a. A Fine Frenzy - very cool name btw :D) is an interesting artist. I'm not going to say she is the best or her work very ground breaking, but some of her stuff is pretty good. She also has a gorgeous voice, which she occasionally lets shine like it should.

Songs I like:

1. 'You Picked Me' - cool Coldplay-like sounds, beautiful voice and poetic lyrics - though they are a little repetitive.
2. 'The Minnow and the Trout' - poetic lyrics once more
3. 'Rangers' - see the Coldplay influence again, as well as her great voice and some cool, atonal shifts in the song.
4. 'Almost Lover' - very pretty lyrics, sung with real feeling from her great voice. Sweet, simple piano in the background.

I certainly think this is an artist to watch, and you should buy the CD if you want some pretty good songs - much better than the pop stuff circulating non-stop right now.
