Turnbull & Asser are the originators of the classic British dress shirt look that has been popularized recently by Thomas Pink and Charles Tyrwhitt. Very expensive but very well made and stylish.

Now if we could only get them to make non-iron button cuff with the spread collar they would be perfect

I never used to take shirts seriously. Just upper body coverings. Then I got a few REALLY NICE ONES, tailored and everything...and suddenly, I was getting something I hadn't gotten in years: compliments on my clothes. I owe it all to T&A (so to speak)...

I have most of my shirts custom made and Turnbull & Asser does them for me. While it is true, bespoke shirts are a bit of an extravagance, once you start down that path, there is no going back.

T & A has a huge array of fabrics and patterns to choose from and will even cut shirts for diagonals or, my favorite, chevron patterns across the front (unfortunately, they won't do the chevron down the back too)

If you like wearing a nice shirt (hey, if it looks good, it often lets you get away w/not having to wear a jacket too) and you have an unusual body shape (my shoulders are broad relative to my neck and waistliine for off-the-rack stuff), then go w/ T & A
