I saw this group last night, they are amazing! Their style is of their own and there is nothing out their like it, it's beautiful and contemporary. My favorite is song #3 Sous Le Dome Epais (Flower Duet). CD Description: 2009 sophomore release from the Canadian choral outfit. There is no term that sufficiently defines Aliqua - a hybrid combining choral, Folk, Sorld, and Pop styles into something unique. Paying little attention to what people expect, assume, or desire, the girls' signature style leaves a lasting impact. Singing only what they think is interesting, terrifying, enthralling or beautiful, Aliqua knows no boundaries. Unlike their previous independent release, the members wanted to expand beyond an a cappella approach, adding subtle, beautiful instrumentation throughout. Musical contributions range from the Vincent Jones (Cowboy Junkies, Morrissey) and Sarah McLachlan, who became inspired to perform piano on - 'Berceuse' - after hearing the track as it was being mixed in the studio.
