I know what you think. A torch, i'll only use it once or twice a year to caramelise my 'cremes brulées', but i must stop you right now.
This professional torch will help you get a lovely coloured italian meringue (yes like the one you saw on Milk and Cookies - http://ilovemilkandcookies.blogspot.com/2006/10/i-scream-cupcakes.html) or even the nicely caramelised pears (like Keiko's - http://nordljus.co.uk/en/index.php?showimage=95).

Owning this torch led to a brief but pleasurable period of torching EVERYTHING we cooked. More cheese was melted and sugar carmelized than I dare admit.
Now that some sense of normalcy has returned to our torch-happy house, the tool is still a great addition to the kitchen quiver. (via fanny_the_fairy)
