My newest splurge - after a tragic drunken night in 2006 my digital camera met it's demise and I have been putting off the purchase of a new one for quite some time.

I did a great deal of research online before going to the store and occupied the time of a Best Buy Sales Boy for a solid hour. I was all set to buy the Nikon CoolPix, but the sales boy talked me into this camera.

I love it! It is so small and cute and fits perfectly into my wristlet on nights I do not want to lug around a purse (aka concerts). Also all Canon Cameras have this neat feature where you can select a color in the shot and only that color shows up while all other appear in black and white. Think Saint Patrick’s Day when you could have only the greens show up in the shot. Or a wedding where only the colors of the flowers pop out. Pretty cool huh?

The upgrade to this version has some great features, but it was really the size that sold me on this model.

This is a perfect camera for shooting fashion blog pics! Okay, maybe that's going a bit far, but I really do love it. It has color adjustment functions that let you take vivid, neutral, sepia photos, as well as program it to pick up on certain colors.

And its so tiny that you can tote it around with you anywhere and capture everything!
