The Mercury Suspension light for Artemide was designed by Ross Lovegrove.
Obviously named for the cool blog-like organic shapes that resemble mercury.

I love it, but at $2,682, I wouldn't be able to afford the electricity to turn it on!

The new Mercury lamp in two simple, elegant versions in the design of Ross Lovegrove for the italian manufacturer Artemide: as wall or pendant lamp. It is made up of an aluminium disc with a diameter of 110cm, under which there hang 9 glossy pebbles, that reflect the light created by the light source. This way, light is emitted indirectly.
