I forget how I stumbled across an editorial review of this book, but just the title alone grabbed my attention (yes, I like cake!). This witty collection of essays is a peek into Sloane's life being raised in ignorant suburban bliss. As an adult she's able to look back and realize that she was hoodwinked repeatedly and frankly, she's a little bitter about it.
