Volume 4 breaks from Custer, Tulip and Cass and gives you some background on some of the more colorful characters including the Saint of Killers, "you know who" and Jody and T.C.

It keeps up the brutality and delivers some odd respite from the main story line, yet weaving the motivations of those characters into the rest of the story.
