I haven't read this book yet but everyone keeps telling me that it is very good. It details the lives of biblical wives and mothers that takes place in the red tent where women give birth and treat illnesses. (via amazon.com)

I love the lyrical writing and the way that Anita Diamant is able to bring Biblical times to life. It's a story that we're never told but should be known by women every where. We have no way of knowing if it's true or even close to true but I personally believe in every word. This is a book I treasure and read over and over.
