I took a cooking class recently, and I was the only person who cut their thumb during the "knife safety" part of the lesson. I sure could have used one of these gadgets to keep my knife blood-free.

I've never lost a whole digit, but slicing into one can really put a damper on food prep. I love the simplicity here.
