I love movies. I love good movies. I love bad movies. I love loud bad movies. This is an ASTOUNDING, quiet movie. The best movie I saw this year.
Action heads, slow your roll and switch gears because its time for some food for thought. Daniel Day Lewis cannot be challenged. He's the master of his craft as a sociopathic oil tycoon who will go through anyone who gets in his way. His nemesis, a young rural preacher is the opposite side of the same coin. Both are out for power, glory and the riches each thinks they justly deserve. Watch it. Study DDL. He's solid. It doesn't get any badder than him.

A great Daniel Day Lewis movie about oil. It is kinda long but other than that it's really good. (via amazon.com)

The academy called it one of the best films of 2007. They rewarded Daniel Day-Lewis with best performance. There is no doubt that this film will always be watched and loved. For me, it'll have me dreaming about being an oil man.
