I use Final Draft screenwriting software because...well because I got it for free. Prior to that I was using an ancient version of ScriptThing. That's the one with the funny demon monitor. Both pretty much do the same thing as all screenwriting software does. But FD is what the pros use (or so I am told). Best thing about FD for me is that you can save as a pdf. Very useful for sending scripts to cast and crew.

I'd be lost without this software. I honestly don't know how screenwriters back in the day did it on a typewriter. I have all the respect in the world for those guys because I would've lost my mind ... Final Draft just makes writing a screenplay so much easier.

I bought Final Draft for my husband a couple of years ago, and he loves it. He works on the creative content and Final Draft Screenwriting takes care of the style.
