I like things simple. Like this blender. It has two speeds - low and high. It's actually too many - having just high would be fine with me. As simple as it is, though, it works and looks great, and it's built from quality materials. This Waring blender has that classic 50s look, complemented by a thick glass jar and a white-and-silver metal base. The jar is not very big (5 cups max), but it's just fine for my protein shakes and smoothies.
