I've had one since 1993. I used to recommend to my friends. Great cooker. BUT, service from Kamado is non existent. I've tried many times to get parts, they NEVER come through. The ceramic firebox fell apart and even though they guarantee it for life, they won't replace it. The tiles fall off... It would be the perfect ceramic smoker but buy at your own risk. Consider the ugly Big Green Egg or Grill Dome.

I absolutely love my Kamado. The more you cook with it, the better the Kamado gets. Not to mention your talents! I have never had a problem with customer service nor felt that the owner was a scammer! Considering that they have been in business for 10+ years you may have heard of some bad experiences but which business hasn’t? And if you have not worked for this company how do you know how they conduct their business and do all these things that they you say they have done? Because you read about on the net? With that being said I am a very happy Kamper! I truly enjoy cooking on my K7 and do so about 5 times a week.

This cooker looks great but it has serious problems with the tiles coming off after a year or so, and the cooker itself is prone to cracking. This cooker is NOT made from ceramics. It is not fired. It is simply portland cement and crushed lava rock. This company has, in the last 4 years, moved from Sacramento to Indonesia, back to Sacramento, then to Ensenada Mexico, and now back to Indonesia. They basically operate in one location until they get into financial or legal trouble and then move. They change credit card servicers every few months to avoid chargebacks. Their customer service is terrible and they do not honor the warrantee on the cookers. The company is being pursued by the State of California for non-payment of sales taxes. The company failed to pay suppliers for thousands of dollars of charcoal and equipment. They have also defrauded investors by selling phony stock. I don;t. The company built my unit that I paid for in an incorrect color. Recognizing their mistake they offered to find the correct color and build anew. They did---find the correct color that we agreed on and that was it....after 50 cals and e-mails, together with a BBB inquiry, they still did not talk to me or the Better Business Bureau. Beware! I had to dispute my 2200 dollar charge with VISA.

Like no other grill out there! The grill can work with wood, charcoal, gas or even electricity. It's unique shape lets it work as a grill, oven or smoker.
