Cast iron distributes heat more evenly, reduces temperature flucuations & retains heat longer. Plus, you get the super cool grill marks on your food.

This electric grill looks distinctly different than all the other electric grills I've seen (or at least the grill portion does). It's all raised and skinny. But Looking at it I can see how it would be great for indoor grilling!
