A suspenseful cold war thriller in which a Korean War hero is brainwashed by communists and returned to America to do their bidding. A dark and twisting tale with a dark ending, Lansbury excels as the coldly vicious mother, while the portrayal of the way the soldiers' minds have been completely overthrown is still shocking. This movie stars Laurence Harvey, Angela Lansbury, Janet Leigh and Frank Sinatra and is a must-see.

Frank Sinatra stars in this tale of brainwashing during the Korean war - that many felt was a commentary on the McCarthy era. Contains some of the oddest dialogue ever seen in a movie as Janet Leigh picks up the handsome shell-shocked soldier on a train.
