In my line of work, intensive online research, quick turn-around times and meeting multiple deadlines is a must. Computer failure is not an option. My iMac rocks: It never crashes, sticks, or acts up – and it’s sleek and turbo-fast. When you’re stressed out, your brain responds by pumping out a lot of stress hormones. This, in turn, causes your immune system to become more vulnerable to a viral or bacterial attack.* That’s why we seem to get sick at the worse possible times.

The iMac is a great computer, cost effective, with a built in iSight, and the ability to dual boot into Windows using BootCamp.

one of the coolest computers ever. It fits nicely on my desk, and it's not too bad to look at. With the right screen saver, it doubles as a decoration. It does cool computer stuff too.

This is my 5th Mac in a row, I love them obviously. They all still work but at the moment I've been over using my ibook and I'm looking forward to using the Intel chips with either boot camp or paralells the best of all worlds. For the writing work that is so much of my day their rock-solid performance, ease of use and just constant excellence is a must - don't speak to my about Dell !

iMacs are simply the most reliable, intuitive, and multifunctional machines ever built. Simple to use, but capable of extraordinarily complex feats, the imac is a personal computer for even the most dyed-in-the-wool Luddite. This iMac is made to facilitate work in virtually any medium or setting - from organizing information to watching Youtube. It just works, and it lets me accomplish amazing things with minimal stress and fury. Worth it's weight in gold.

I've been on Windows for 20 years. However, the 24" iMac has made me switch not only my computer, but everyone I work with. I've bought 12 of these iMacs and they are super fast, easy to use, and they have one plug (for power). OS X is the perfect OS, Intel chips are super fast, and the design of these machines makes people happy. Steve Jobs is God.

The new iMacs are out today, and they're looking nicer than ever. Apple has gone all aluminum with the new models, giving them a thinner and more professional look. The small 17" screen has been dropped, leaving only 20" and 24" models, and you can now get up to 4GB of RAM and 1TB of hard disk (although Apple really jacks up the price if you want to go top of the line). There's a sleek new Apple keyboard too. These look really tempting. If I were buying today, I would go for a 24" first, then upgrade to 2GB of RAM and see if I had anything left over for a hard drive upgrade. But I think I'll hold off until Leopard ships (should be only a few months now) and I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for a new Mac mini style device (since I already have a decent LCD). One more thing - Apple also announced Numbers, a new spreadsheet program that's part of iWork '08. Robert Scoble gave it a good review, and I welcome any serious effort to reintroduce some competition into the Office market. Conspiracy alert! - I wonder if this has anything to do with the Apple software upgrade that crashed my MS Office last weekend?

I wouldn't be surprised if the reason why the competition designs such garbage is because Apple sends them fake documents of their "New Project X" and Dell immediately rushes to production. "Boys this is it, Apple is going down!"

Redefining Apple's signature all-in-one desktop PC, the newly redesigned iMac now sports a sleek, professional aluminum enclosure that's joined precisely to a 24-inch glass cover to create a virtually seamless front surface. It also features new ultra-thin aluminum Apple Keyboard--with an extended layout and dedicated keys for Mac features such as brightness, volume, eject, play/pause, and Exposé--as well as the wired Mighty Mouse. The iMac is preloaded with Apple's latest suite of digital media applications--iLife '08--and also comes with the Apple Remote and Front Row media display software, which enables you to easily play your music, enjoy photo slideshows, and watch DVDs, iMovies, music videos and television shows from across the room.

I love the new iMacs. They are a perfect fit for photographers. Portable and Powerful. Why not a Powerbook? Larger screen more power..... Why not a Powermac? Too big and no screen.... When you get home you can connect a larger screen to it and view your images in big and bright glory.

I own one of these and absolutely love it! While my wife's PC blue screens all the time my MAC just keeps chugging along. This one has a huge screen, take little disk space despite its power....and of course is rock solid so you can just enjoy playing on it instead of worrying about blue screens, viruses, spy bots, etc.
