Originally, Felix was electric. In the late 1980's, with new technology, the Felix clock mechanism became battery operated.

I had this clock as a kid - it's just so charming and oddball and original. I really think I need to buy another one - it's only $49 on Amazon.

my favourite clock

I've had this Felix clock for years and never get tired of seeing his tail wag alongside his shifty eyes moving side to side. This is a bit childish and very kitschy, but I think it's fun and has a toy-like quality.

A true novelty staple. I've seen this guy in, like, 2851851651 movies.
