Cutlery. Admit it, when you say the word - you feel like your food's going to taste a little bit better. I have a few nice knives - a set of Henckels Four Star, a Wusthof Grand Prix Santoku knife, a Kyocera ceramic knife, but my prized possession in the kitchen is my Ken Onion 8" Chef's knife. This knife is so awesome, it comes with it's own stand (the stand is really because the Ken Onion won't fit into most knife blocks). It also looks like a Samurai blade because it has over 32 layers of steel folded onto the blade. Seriously, this knife is so sharp that when you use it to slice an onion, you won't shed a tear. How cool is that? But, if you budget can't handle a $200 knife - go ahead and add it to your wish list and let a loved one pick up the tab.

If you have any dreams in becoming a sushi chef, plan on paying a hefty price for the best kitchen knife for your cooking needs. It's blade is made of 16 microthin layers of the best stainless steel and the knife is ergonomically shaped for both left and right (handed) users.....$369.00

i love the ergonomic shape of the knife and handle. the only thing i love more is the storage nook created strictly for this piece of cutlery. no doubt a great knife to use in every day cooking.
