It would appear that the wood from these great looking cufflinks is not only from sustainably-farmed stands, but also scrap wood (from furniture manufacturing).

The company's mission statement sounds solid. I look forward to seeing how John Ferdinand develops, and will watch its dedication to environmental and fair trade practices closely.

I very much hope they start sourcing reclaimed metals as well. If and when this happens, they will be true pioneers. (via markarmstrong)
