Sony DR-BT22 Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headset
Geek time! Well, useful geek time. As the proud owner of a 20" (pitiful by today's standards, I know) widescreen iMac, and with the advent of hulu.com, the time comes when a man wants to watch the entire second season of Arrested Development without sitting in front of the computer. Said man is faced with 2 options: 1. Crank up the volume and blast it through attached stereo speakers or 2. Listen in comfort and privacy using a headset. Wires don't make the cut for couch potato viewing. Enter Sony's DR-BT22 (seriously, are there committees who make up these names?) Bluetooth headset. Simply turn on your Mac's built in Bluetooth, click a couple of buttons and your soundtrack will reach your ears in wireless stereophonic glory. The headset's pretty comfy, with cushy foam and adjustable heights. Use is pretty simple - hold down the power button and a bright blue LED blinks. A Red one ominously signals low power. Better yet, you get some buttons: A volume up-down button, as well as a cool fast-forward-reverse switch - which seems to actually work! Charging is pretty simple too. Lastly, they fold up, Ninja style, for less clutter as well as travel. There are better, louder, larger and more feature packed headsets out there, but none can match this one's mix of functionality and price - $50! Recommended for the occasional quite-needed moving media addict.
