The book that bought Murakami in to the mainstream ofJapanese literature. A clasic love/coming of age story set in tokyo in the 1970's, with a murakami twist. This book became so popular in japan when it was released he fled to europe and the united states to live for a few years. A total clasic in my book.

Another favorite from Haruki Murakami, this is a tragic love story told in flashback about a man's relationship with his schizophrenic college girlfriend. It's definitely a page-turner.
