This super flexible robot comes as a kit, and takes a couple days to assemble. Unlike a number of robot kits, this qualifies as "cool" rather than "dorky."

Somewhat expensive (~$1000), but widely considered to be one of the best robot kits on the market. He'll kick Robosapien's butt any day of the week.
