Wasn't the remote control supposed to make tv-watching easier and faster?

Now we spend more time setting it up, searching for it when it's lost, and trying to find the "ON" button. Let's not even talk about figuring out which of the eleven remote controls you're supposed to use for your seventeen devices.

Here's mammoth remote for the visually impaired. It controls multiple components and has very large cant-miss buttons to make it easier to use. Trust, this will never get lost in the couch.
