designed by karim rashid, the kant stool is made from reinforced polypropylene with a polypropylene seat and can support up to 440 pounds. designed for contract use, the piece is actually rather utilitarian and useful and would be excellent for residential use as well. we find the kant stool has a strange resemblance to ET or, perhaps, immanuel kant- perhaps due to the minimal cantilever form. in use, we find the stool pretty interesting, as it places emphasis on the human form on it.
the seats are interchangeable (allowing for multiple color mixes), and the polypropylene is treated with polygiene (antibacterial) technology. suitable for indoor or outdoor use. 100% recyclable, too. (via Unica)
