The Canon EOS 5D Mark II features 21.1-megapixel full frame CMOS sensor 1080p video mode, , DIGIC 4 imaging processor, ISO range of 100-6400, 15-point Autofocus sensor, 3-inch LCD with Live View, and more
A 21 megapixel SLR from Canon with true HD movie abilities (that you can interrupt for a few stills and have it pick up where you left off)? You have to get up pretty early in the morning to want this more than I do. Really bizarrely desire and want and love right exactly now.
The top choice for professional quality without going to the top-level Canon EOS 1 series (with better weather sealing and higher frame rate). Top-notch quality images at 21MP and HD video. Taking video using a Canon tilt-shift lens or super-fast 50mm 1:1.2 is insane and very, very gratifying. The new 3" LCD is very generous too. I wish I could shoot video through the viewfinder alone (and not have to use live view) and set ISO manually while in video mode, but these are minor gripes. I love this!
I'm a semi-professional photographer and this is one of my main cameras. It's a great camera in the field under rough/rainy conditions. The image quality is also stunning. It's pretty clear that Canon is focusing on the 5D line being it's full-frame/high mega-pixel count professional camera with the 1D line going to sub-full-frame sensors. The main trade off that I've experienced is that with the better capture full-frame sensor means though that your burst frame-rate ends up being lower. But that's only been a limitation for me when doing sports photography, and even then it's still OK.
