A murder mystery that centers around the NYC music scene. Not a genre I read much, because I usually figure out whodunnit early on. Since the heroine of this story also figures it out, the emphasis becomes what she's going to do about it. There's a completely realistic scene on a building ledge, where you can just imagine what it would feel like to try to escape out a high-rise window. This writer is tremendous. Every book of hers is in a completely different genre. I believe this is her only murder mystery. Well done!
