Native plants are not only beautiful, they are practical and environmentally correct. Native plants attract wildlife such as birds, hummingbirds, butterflies, etc. You don't have to use pesticides or fertilizers, so you reduce pollution. You also use less water. California, for example, has 6,000 native plants, not to mention cultivars, etc. At Theodore Payne, there are more than 500 native plants to choose.
