Guitar Hero 2 is awesome and you don't have to just sit in one place when playing a game

This version really brings this game to the next level with it's multiplayer guitar-types option. That is, now in multiplayer mode, one person can play lead guitar while the other plays bass or rhythm guitar. It is absolutely addictive and doesn't have to be just a "party game". If you've never played the original version, this game enables anyone to feel like they're really playing guitar. Whether you can play a real guitar or not, the experience is satisfying and super fun!

Guitar Hero 2 manages to rock even harder than the first one. It has better songs, a better head-to-head mode, and a really cool red guitar. This one is loved by non-gamers too, so pick one up and take it to some parties.

So addictive and it makes you feel like you're actually playing the guitar in the song - even if you have very little talent!

Rock Band is a lot of fun but my first love is Guitar Hero because the guitar patterns are more intricate. Ideally they would combine the guitar portion of GH with the drums / vocals portion of Rock Band. Consider this a recommendation for every single Guitar Hero game out there. You want Guitar Hero because of "Fat Lip" (Sum41), "Killer Queen" (Queen) and "Bark at the Moon (Ozzy) at the very least. You want GH2 because of "Sweet Child of Mine" (GNR), "Misirlou" aka the Kill Bill song (Dick Dale) and "Soy Bomb" (Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives). You want Rock the 80's because of "18 and Life" (Skid Row) and "Only a Lad" (Oingo Boingo). You want Guitar Hero 3 because of Metallica's "One" -- I could keep going all night about this game. Plus, this game is great for kids, for them to play alone and with you. I make it a point to whoop my nephews in this game every so often just so they remember who's boss.
