I love Rock'n'Roll, but on some level Folk will always have my heart. And the Decemberists can put out some of the best folk-pop around. For their major label debut they don't disappoint. A twelve minute epic based on The Tempest, the catchiest song cycle about a Japanese folk tale you will ever hear, along with a lovely creepy ballad about cereal killers and a song against war. Steven Colbert called them "hyperliterate prog rock" I call them happiness in a six inch disc.
