This ink blot dinner plate series by Kathleen Walsh was inspired by the game of blotto, a 19th century parlor game (and a precursor to Rorschach's inkblot tests). The game encouraged players to use their imagination to find images in the indistinct blottos.
Words on the plates reads as follows:
a) "1% - an outlaw biker rides alone, his destiny remains uncertain"
b) "compassion among species - 2 altruistic butterflies fly 2 injured field mice to safety"
c) "dueling roosters - 2 roosters engage in staring competition, there will be only 1 winner"
d) "an unlikely event - 1 winged porcine creature stands poised at the edge of a reflective pool"
Plates are Japanese porcelain with lead-free certified glaze. Sold as a set of four for $180.

How many times do you spend eating? Now you can spend that time with use! :) by taking Rorschach test! :D
But seriously, these tests are good, it really shows whats on your mind when you dont even know about it. Like it said on http://inkblot-test.co.cc/
And if you are really in to it, you''ll definetly like those plates! ;)

There's really no more scintillating dinner conversation than psychoanalytic readings of guests' responses to your dinnerware. I find these work best when you don't warn your guests what's underneath their food.

I've always liked anything with a Rorschach blot. (and yes, that is the correct way to spell Rorschach)
And these plates are no exception.
I see broccoli and a uterus, what do you see?

Do you miss those cereal boxes with the surprise inside? Here's another chance to be surprised every time. Conversation piece when everyone has finished their dinner. It's a butterfly, no a little man with huge feet! (via Unica Home)

I'm obsessed with dishes, generally speaking. And I love plates that are odd and interesting...anything to spark an imprompt dinner conversation at the table. These Ink Blot plates are perf! Quirky, stylish, clean, and they make you look PHD smart. (via szlea)
