A GREAT way to get thru a lot of "reading" while driving. I use ti to listen to mostly biz or non-fiction books. Often stuff I prob would not read but will listen to (ie most biz books or histories/biographies). Great for commuting, good to mix in books w/podcasts. Subscribe to Audible for $20/month and you get to choose 2 books every month. Its a good deal compared to buying them in the store (via Staviean)

Audible.com is a great resource for "books on tape" (for lack of a better term). I use Audible mostly for business and non-fiction books as they don't require much imagination. For fiction books, I tend to read them as I like to use my imagination while I read. Audible has plans that start at $9.95 on up to $22.95. Audible is actually a good deal when you consider you might pay over $20.00 for a new book at a traditional brick and mortar store, when you can actually get the book from Audible for around $15.00.

Simply the best way to buy audiobooks. If you have an MP3 player, you should get a subscription to Audible.

I have a 45min to 1.5 hour commute each way every day. I have to drive that far to find a job that pays enough to afford Audible.com so that I can listen to books on my long commute so I can... (via Alain Avakian)
