My life dream has always included retirement with lots of days spend metal detecting on the beach, forest, or anywhere. Something about stumbling upon things left behind is so exciting, valuable or not. This is a great metal detector for the hobby-ist like me. Ferrous/non-ferrous discriminator distinguishes iron and steel (ferrous) from silver and gold (non-ferrous), there are 3 different tones for different kinds of metal, and it is ergonomically designed to fit your hand and arm well. It's never too late or early to start the hobby of your dreams. I think I know what I'm asking for from Santa this year.
