I bought these jeans once and someone bothered to tell me they symbolized everything that was bad about the person I had recently become. I had come to winkingly refer to them as my mid-life crisis pants, even though (some say) I'm nowhere near midlife. Somehow they got thrown away, but I don't think that slowed me down.
