Don't just hear the music... feel the rhythm... and don't get killed walking across the street. Not only can you listen to the music with your whole body with these amazing headphones (they leave your ear canal free and send vibrations into the back of your ear which translates into crystal clear Crystal Method - or whatever your tunes are) , you can also hear the honking of the SUV that's about to cross the intersection you are walking into right now... I'd much rather FEEL THE MUSIC than the impact of a front bumper... how bout you?

I really, really want a set of these. They are bone conduction headphones; essentially, instead of outputing volume like normal speakers/headphones, they clip to your ear and produce vibrations which are perceived as sound to the wearer. Amazingly cool technology.

I wonder if these actually work. If so, amazing!

I've seen a few models offered at different places. the science is sound (pun!), so I would guess they work. But who knows...

haha, seems like they're either some high techy thing that is just a gimmick or they're completely awesome.

which other models? and where? have you heard about airdrives?

davemmett on Sep 11, 2009

I just looked up airdrives, they seem different; they still emit sound the traditional way, but rest on your ear differently. These don't output "sound," just vibrations.

davemmett on Oct 13, 2009

'Cause Apple hasn't made a pair yet :)

Who are the genius that came up with this? Can’t fine a website or anything that says who have made them and the technology behind it. Have any of you come across any?
