If you need a primer on SQL and how to get the basic concepts in a hurry, this is the book for you. Presented in an easy and fun way. It will not be the last SQL book you will need if you will at all be working with SQL, but it is a fantastic start. This is an O'Reilly book so you cannot go wrong (IMO they are the best as far as anything computer related). I really like the Head First series. They are especially great if you are more of a creative type trying to get programming concepts. These have helped me immensely.
