Wedding Ring Coffin

Description

When I first saw this mini casket, I couldn't stop laughing. The irreverence of the idea reminded me of someone saying "I'll come to your funeral in a red dress." Then, I realized the therapeutic value in putting something that has metaphorically died to rest. For some It may be the important first step in moving onward, for others it may be a way to shed some of the anger. Although I would much rather hear that more marriages are more successful than ever before, that not being the case we may have a new tradition in our midst . . .

Description

Now that I've stopped laughing long enough to type I can attest to the therapeutic usefulness of having an official burial for rings that would otherwise haunt your jewelry chest. Maybe I'll bury them in the back yard and give my daughter a treasure map when she comes of age and wants to decide to keep 'em or sell 'em. A great gift for a friend ready to laugh through the pain.
