For unknown reasons our office does not have a water cooler. We do have a kitchen with a sink. Instead of wastefully buying bottled spring water, this brita filter pitcher would do the job nicely.

I grew up on filtered water.
I can taste, smell, and see the difference in tap water.
This is a cheap way to filter your water.
A must have in my fridge.

As I mentioned in my faucet filter review I use this product as well for ultra cold water... we all need to do our part to save the planet and this is a great step, especially if you're not doing much else ;) (via Bed Bath and Beyond)

My fluids through out the day is water, tea, and coffee. I like filter water much better than bottled since I came across a few of them that has a funny taste. Perhaps the supermarket put it under the sun a little too long while unloading. Plus this is so much cheaper and since I am the one pouring water in it, I know it's much cleaner.

The water here in Kansas City, MO is HARD. My coffee, drinking water and tea just tastes better filtered. The Brita pitcher offers a convenient and affordable way to do that. Drinking water to maintain optimal health is very important, but when you are ill it becomes especially important. *The Institute of Medicine advises that men consume roughly 3 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day and women consume 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day. If you drink enough fluid so that you rarely feel thirsty and produce 1.5 liters (6.3 cups) or more of colorless or slightly yellow urine a day, your fluid intake is probably adequate. Signs of illnesses, such as fever, vomiting and diarrhea, cause your body to lose additional fluids. In these cases you should drink more water and may even need oral rehydration solutions, such as Gatorade, Powerade or CeraLyte.

Can anyone tell me the type of plastic used to make the container. Is is a 7 or poly carbonate? I have been searching for a water filter that will not store my water in plastic that might leach chemicals. Any help would be appreiacted.

Free water that tastes better than tapwater and won't choke the planet with plastic bottles -- win win for you purse, your tastebuds, your planet.
I keep one on my desk at work, and fill re-usable bottles out of it when I'm heading off to each my lunch on the front lawn. (via Yournewbestfriend)

A lifesaver, truly. When I had mono, the only comfort I got was in the tasty, cold water from this pitcher.
