"1-2-3-4" became a massive hit off of this album for lady Feist, thanks in no small part to an iPod commercial. No one could deserve it more. She's been making it work in the music business for years, between working with Peaches and then Broken Social Scene. On her latest album, she keeps making catchy, sweet pop songs. "My Moon My Man" is my other favorite track off this album.

I'm one of those jerks that likes to remind people that I was listening to Feist back in the day before she blew up. Did you get that? It was my subtle way to let you know that I'm more musically savvy than you. Go buy this album.

Genre-less. She can be folk, r&b, rock, and the song is always catchy and moody and strong.

"It's tough to compare her music to any artist because it's so much her own," says Stiletto Jungle Music Editor Pearl C. "Maybe a tiny bit Bjork, and a little like Cat Power. I love this CD for quiet Sunday mornings, or late nights with a glass of wine and some much needed unwinding." (via Adventures in the Stiletto Jungle)

Why, oh why, is this album so flipping good? Beautiful, haunting, happy, relaxing... overall good listening music for just about any mood. A new fave I can already tell.
This is going with me to Playa del Carmen so I can slip into a Feist-y world while sipping my patron and gazing out at fine looking men and perfect clear blue water.
Ah, life is good.
