Anyone that even THINKS about buying from a company just because they put a big pink ribbon on their products and donate a tiny, tiny, tiny fraction of their revenue to breast cancer should (please please) check out this website and then send it on to every woman you know.

Many big companies (that refuse to sign The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics list) try to sell you stuff based on your emotional response to the issue of breast cancer.

WELL in many case these companies are causing the problem by creating products with chemicals that CAUSE BREAST CANCER. And then I guess to ease their guilt (because heaven forbid they just remove the parabens, pthlates and mercury from the perfume, lipstick and mascara to make it safer) they would rather keep prices low by using the cheapest chemicals, keep paying money and pulling the pink wool over our little eyes.

The amazing people at ThinkBeforeYouPink.org have exposed these hypocrisies for what they are and have a very nice list of companies who are offering SAFE cosmetics without cancer causing ingredients. (Imagine that!). Please check them out and support socially responsible and non-hypocritical companies!

This is definitely something to check out. I found out that just because a company puts a tiny pink ribbon on their product, doesn't mean they're contributing boo-coos to the cause. Watch out and think before you pink!
