In the history of rock n roll there are certain albums which, for whatever reason, never seem to have found favor. Paul Kantor and Grace Slick certainly had great success as members of
Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship - but, there are few (if any) GREAT Jefferson "Anything" albums. However, when they teamed up with David Freiberg of Quicksilver Messenger Service and invited guests as diverse as Jerry Garcia, David Crosby, The Pointer Sisters, Jorma Kaukonen, Craig Chaquico, Jack Casady, Papa John Creach and Mickey Hart
to record Baron von Tollbooth and the Chrome Nun (released in the summer of 1973) - they created one masterpiece of a rock album! The production, songwriting and sheer exuberance of the undertaking sounds as fresh today as when it was first released - everyone involved in top form! Standout cuts include: Flowers in the Night, Across the Board, Whiteboy and Your Mind Has Left Your Body - but the album should be experienced as one continuous flow.
