The perfect tent for Burning Man can stand up to heavy, sudden wind storms, breathes well but keeps the dust out, and keeps cool enough during the day that you can duck in for a costume change without passing out. For these high standards, Spingbar tents seem to be the closest match that I've found so far.
Some people may have issues about the fact that this thing weighs a ton, but unless you're biking to the playa, all that matters is that it fits into your car. True it isn't multi-functional, but those who've been there know that a tent, once on the playa, is always destined for the playa. If you're a Burner for the long haul, this baby might be worth the investment. Buy a North Face for backpacking and make this your dedicated playa abode.
