The Giver: Lois Lowry

I really hope they haven't stopped making kids read this in grade school, because it is truly an incredible book. Everyone I know read it, and most loved it. It follows Jonas, a boy who lives in a perfect world, and his journey as he's chosen to become the "receiver of memories" in his utopia.
